This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct supplier partner relationships and strategize marketing and sales initiatives for designated product categories.
• Create strategies aimed at boosting sales, market share, and profitability.
• Execute category analysis and develop strategic plans.
• Oversee supplier profitability, category management, and the launch of new products.
• Negotiate distribution agreements with suppliers and manage the introduction of new items.
• Formulate, assess, and endorse product recommendations and analyses for senior leadership.
• Act as the Product Category Authority within the Medical Group/Industry.
• Manage performance metrics for assigned categories, focusing on sales and market share assessments and strategies for underperforming categories.
• Cultivate relationships with key manufacturing partners, including partnership initiatives, sales meetings, pricing negotiations, end-user promotions, and incentive programs for sales representatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturer partners to develop marketing, advertising, and business strategies.
• Oversee new product submissions, make acceptance/rejection decisions, manage pricing, forecasts, initial order quantities, item code creation, web attributes, descriptions, catalog content, and supplier onboarding.
• Create promotional strategies with suppliers to ensure successful product launches.
• Identify products and pricing suitable for channel media and marketing platforms.
• Negotiate purchasing agreements and manage communication and implementation with Inventory Management.
• Review product classifications, descriptions, images, A-system/ecommerce content, SKU optimization, and resolution of non-saleable pools.
• Supervise category layouts and presentations across channel media and address related challenges.
• Utilize P&L and financial metrics to align with business strategy.
• Train, guide, develop, and mentor team members.
• Contribute to special projects and fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.
• Generally 10 or more years of progressively responsible and complex professional experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a relevant field (preferred education).
• Proficient in Excel.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Effective analytical and communication abilities.
• Capacity to multitask and collaborate within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Strong management and leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.
• Highly developed independent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to plan and manage successful projects, including resources, timelines, budgets, and task assignments.
• Good negotiation skills and proficiency in managing outsourced relationships.
• Ability to lead virtual teams.
• Travel is generally less than 10%.
