This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development and implementation of customer-centric education and practice enhancement initiatives that support the growth of J&J Surgical Vision’s North American operations.

• Create practice development programs aimed at enhancing business performance, increasing premium conversion rates, engaging patients, and improving overall practice effectiveness.

• Collaborate with commercial and corporate account teams to pinpoint customer opportunities and provide strategic solutions.

• Offer guidance to customers on optimizing their practices, improving patient flow, enhancing workflow efficiency, and developing customer growth strategies.

• Conduct in-person, virtual, and hybrid educational sessions.

• Design and execute scalable educational solutions that support portfolio adoption and adapt to changing customer needs.

• Facilitate learning experiences that lead to improved clinical and business outcomes.

• Spearhead peer-to-peer educational initiatives for ophthalmologists, optometrists, practice administrators, technicians, and clinic personnel.

• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, faculty, and industry experts.

• Create customer success stories and document best practices.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Sales Training, and Corporate Accounts to develop educational resources.

• Ensure that educational content aligns with business strategies, customer requirements, and compliance standards.

• Support regional and national sales meetings, industry congresses, professional education events, and customer programs.

• Provide field teams with essential resources, tools, and insights.

• Establish metrics and feedback systems to assess program effectiveness and business impact.

• Analyze data and customer insights for ongoing improvement.

• Stay informed about trends in ophthalmology and optometry, emerging technologies, and customer needs.

• Assist in product introductions, market development, and innovation initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.

• At least 6+ years of experience in ophthalmology, optometry, eye care, medical devices, or a related healthcare field.

• Extensive knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostics, biometry, patient flow, refractive cataract surgery, and practice operations.

• Proven ability to develop and deliver educational programs targeted at healthcare professionals.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively across different functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Experience in virtual, live, and hybrid educational settings.

• Willingness to travel approximately 60% throughout the United States and Canada.

• Preferred expertise in practice management, premium conversion strategies, and customer business optimization.

• Experience supporting commercial organizations in the Medical Device, Vision Care, or Ophthalmology sectors is preferred.

• Background as a faculty member, speaker, trainer, or in professional education is preferred.

• Experience in developing educational content, digital learning resources, and customer engagement programs is preferred.

• Advanced ophthalmic certifications or additional clinical credentials are preferred.
