This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Supervise and oversee the daily movement of residential recycling materials throughout the CCS network.
• Collaborate with the CCS Operator, RFs, PCFs, haulers, and processors to ensure timely and efficient completion of scheduled loads.
• Monitor scheduled loads, completed loads, load weights, and facility capacity for operational performance and reporting purposes.
• Address issues related to delayed pickups, canceled loads, capacity constraints, and transportation disruptions.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to find and implement solutions that ensure efficient material flow.
• Cultivate and maintain knowledge of RF, hauling, transportation, and processing agreements to aid in compliance and problem resolution.
• Ensure that hauling activities comply with contractual obligations, operational standards, and cost-efficiency goals.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives concerning logistics, transportation, and post-collection operations.
• Evaluate operational data and trends to uncover risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Deliver operational updates, escalate issues, and report performance metrics to the Director of National Post Collection Operations.
• Establish and nurture relationships with service providers, municipal partners, processors, and internal teams.
• Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, waste management, recycling operations, or similar fields.
• Proven experience in coordinating multiple operational stakeholders and service providers in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with waste diversion, recycling systems, materials management, or transportation logistics is considered an asset.
• Strong grasp of artificial intelligence concepts and the ability to effectively communicate and apply AI technologies within a business framework is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid analytical abilities with a focus on detail and precision.
• Capability to interpret and apply operational and contractual obligations.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and related applications.
• Experience with logistics, reporting, or workflow management systems is considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Residency in Canada is necessary.
