
Manager, Portfolio Marketing – Veterinary & Animal Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the vertical growth strategy and develop go-to-market systems for Penn Foster’s veterinary portfolio.
• Convert business priorities, market opportunities, customer insights, and commercial requirements into cohesive strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of the veterinary education and animal health landscape, including key markets, customer segments, learner, practice, and employer needs, competitive dynamics, accreditation, outcomes, and commercial priorities.
• Identify emerging opportunities in veterinary fields and create market assessments.
• Assess and prioritize markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities, providing recommendations on where the business should focus investments and the rationale behind these choices.
• Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional leadership and Sales teams.
• Enhance knowledge of commercial priorities, sales dynamics, learner and customer interactions, decision-makers, veterinary practices, and industry requirements.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand priority accounts, customer requirements, and market challenges.
• Transform field insights into actionable go-to-market strategies and support the activation of priority accounts and markets.
• Create market-, segment-, and audience-specific growth strategies that encompass messaging, campaigns, field engagement, conferences, content, and other channels.
• Design experiments to validate hypotheses, assess outcomes, and scale successful initiatives.
• Analyze data related to customers, commercial activities, campaigns, workforce, industry trends, and competitors.
• Integrate quantitative and qualitative insights to develop business cases that drive action.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Sales, RevOps, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and other teams.
• Provide market insights to inform learner outcomes, industry relevance, and growth opportunities.
• Establish repeatable processes for planning, prioritization, measurement, and learning.
• Codify and amplify successful strategies.
• Create a dependable market intelligence and planning process to enhance decision-making quality and execution.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Education, Healthcare, Veterinary Studies, Animal Health, or related disciplines.
• At least 7 years of experience in vertical marketing, strategic marketing, product marketing, commercial strategy, market intelligence, growth strategy, business development, or a similar role.
• Experience in the education, healthcare, veterinary, animal health, or related industries is preferred.
• Proven ability to convert data and customer insights into actionable business strategies.
• Experience in developing go-to-market strategies and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• A background in working with Sales or a similar commercial organization is strongly preferred.
• Experience in regulated, credentialed, or outcomes-driven markets is a plus.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and sound business judgment.
• Ability to distill complex market and customer signals into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with Sales, commercial, product, and business leaders.
• Comfort in challenging assumptions while nurturing strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work autonomously, create structure, and develop new capabilities in uncertain environments.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• A keen curiosity about veterinary education and animal health, with a quick ability to learn about learner, practice, employer, credentialing, and industry dynamics.
• Must reside and work within the United States.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Must fulfill applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
