
Manager, Portfolio Marketing – Veterinary & Animal Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the vertical growth strategy and go-to-market approach for Penn Foster’s veterinary portfolio.
• Convert business priorities, market possibilities, customer insights, and commercial requirements into integrated strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
• Recognize emerging veterinary opportunities and formulate market assessments.
• Assess and prioritize markets, customer segments, and growth prospects.
• Provide recommendations on where the business should allocate resources and the rationale behind those choices.
• Act as a strategic collaborator with cross-functional leadership and Sales teams.
• Enhance understanding of commercial priorities, sales approaches, learner and customer dynamics, decision-makers, veterinary practices, and industry demands.
• Collaborate with sellers to grasp priority accounts, customer needs, and market challenges.
• Convert field insights into actionable go-to-market strategies and facilitate activation for priority accounts and markets.
• Craft market-, segment-, and audience-specific growth strategies encompassing messaging, campaigns, field engagement, conferences, content, and other channels.
• Design experiments to validate hypotheses, assess outcomes, and scale successful methodologies.
• Evaluate customer, commercial, campaign, workforce, industry, and competitor data.
• Integrate quantitative and qualitative insights to build compelling business cases.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Product, Sales, RevOps, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and other departments.
• Establish repeatable processes for planning, prioritization, measurement, and learning rhythms.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Education, Healthcare, Veterinary Studies, Animal Health, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in vertical marketing, strategic marketing, product marketing, commercial strategy, market intelligence, growth strategy, business development, or a similar role.
• Experience in education, healthcare, veterinary, animal health, or related industries is preferred.
• Proven ability to turn data and customer insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience in developing go-to-market strategies and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• A background working with Sales or another commercial organization is highly preferred.
• Experience in a regulated, credentialed, or outcomes-driven market is an advantage.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and business acumen.
• Ability to distill complex market and customer signals into clear recommendations and decisions.
• Demonstrated experience in partnering with Sales, commercial, product, and business leaders.
• Comfort in challenging assumptions while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously, establish frameworks, and develop new capabilities in uncertain environments.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• A genuine interest in veterinary education and animal health, with a quick ability to understand learner, practice, employer, credentialing, and industry dynamics.
• Must reside and conduct work within the United States.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Completion of necessary pre-employment screening requirements.
