This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Provide administrative and operational support for a Homeless Management Information System within a large Continuum of Care.
β’ Assume a senior leadership position on the HMIS system administration team.
β’ Oversee staff and activities related to the development of HMIS training, delivery, capacity building, and professional growth.
β’ Ensure training for around 8,000 HMIS end users complies with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and CoC requirements.
β’ Act as a liaison with CoC HMIS and data leadership, HMIS vendors, technical support teams, and both internal and external partners.
β’ Attend meetings with the HMIS vendor to discuss features, functionality, and user interface/user experience changes.
β’ Establish tracking systems for end-user training compliance and provide remedial training through corrective action plans.
β’ Maintain expert-level knowledge of HUD and CoC HMIS requirements related to data standards, reporting, privacy, security, policies, and procedures.
β’ Design, develop, and deliver both in-person and virtual learning experiences.
β’ Create quality assurance and control measures for training content.
β’ Collaborate with program, policy, and technical teams to align training with policy priorities, governmental requirements, and trauma-informed practices.
β’ Utilize feedback from help desk and ticketing systems to identify training needs.
β’ Employ adult learning principles in curriculum and instructional design.
β’ Set training efficacy metrics and implement ongoing quality improvements.
β’ Manage contracts for in-person training labs and virtual training platforms.
β’ Supervise a team of approximately five HMIS trainers.
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Management, Education, Public Policy, Business or Public Administration, Urban Planning, Social Work Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted.
β’ Advanced degree is highly preferred.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in developing and delivering training and capacity-building materials, preferably related to HMIS software or a similar information technology platform.
β’ Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
β’ Capability to convey complex concepts to non-technical partners and stakeholders.
β’ Experience supervising approximately five HMIS trainers while providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
β’ Background in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences, utilizing evidence-informed practices and adult learning principles.
β’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while adhering to tight deadlines.
