Manager, Learning Design Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the learning design team.

• Supervise 4 learning designers directly, which includes setting expectations, providing coaching, fostering development, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.

• Spearhead the recruitment, onboarding, and development efforts for learning design professionals.

• Manage the delivery of multiple simultaneous course development projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Leverage data and technology to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

• Identify risks and implement solutions to uphold timelines and quality standards.

• Promote continuous improvement in service quality for stakeholders.

• Establish service standards for learning designers who support faculty.

• Coordinate with Academic Services leadership and partner stakeholders across various workstreams.

• Assess capacity and modify resource distribution based on business priorities and partner demands.

• Supervise vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scheduling requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience managing a learning design team in a higher education setting.

• 3+ years of experience in learning design.

• Proven ability to manage multiple course development projects simultaneously.

• Creative in process and technology innovations to fulfill business needs.

• Bachelor's degree.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Must be a resident of the United Kingdom.
