This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Develop and document the internal control framework for Super.com, beginning with the current close process to ensure it is fully auditable and substantiated.
• Create, enhance, and sustain comprehensive control frameworks, which include process maps, RCMs, and testing plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and address control deficiencies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Design and execute corrective measures.
• Support IT General Controls, such as cleaning up segregation-of-duties, conducting access management reviews, and overseeing change-control processes for essential finance systems.
• Develop and implement control frameworks for new products and initiatives.
• Integrate internal controls for financial reporting from the point of product launch.
• Serve as the main liaison for external auditors.
• Manage evidence requests, walkthroughs, and the resolution of audit findings.
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams on documentation and solutions related to controls.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to optimize and enhance control activities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, or auditing, ideally with experience in both public accounting and industry.
• Proven track record of building or advancing a controls program from its initial stages.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
• Practical experience with IT General Controls, including access management and segregation-of-duties evaluations, preferably in NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• A collaborative, relationship-oriented approach when working with control owners.
• CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification is preferred, although not mandatory for the ideal candidate.
• Must have citizenship status, a valid open work permit, open work visa, or permanent residency that allows employment with any employer in Canada or the US for at least the next 12 months.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the US or Canada.
