Manager, Internal Audit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee operational audits from the initial planning phase to the final reporting stage, pinpointing areas for enhancing processes, controls, and risk management.

• Collaborate with various teams throughout the organization to assess risks, optimize operations, and implement actionable solutions.

• Assist in bolstering MoneyGram’s internal control framework and SOX compliance program, which includes process documentation, control assessments, and testing procedures.

• Supervise third-party consultants and liaise with external auditors to facilitate audit, compliance, and internal control initiatives.

• Oversee remediation efforts to ensure that identified concerns are resolved efficiently and within established timelines.

• Clearly convey audit findings, insights, and recommendations to management and business leaders.

• Provide consistent updates to Internal Audit leadership regarding audit status, significant risks, and remediation efforts.

• Utilize technology, data, and innovative methods to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of audits.

• Participate in special projects, strategic initiatives, and other risk and governance activities as the organization evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in internal audit, SOX, risk advisory, or public accounting.

• Experience in Big 4 or equivalent consulting/advisory roles.

• In-depth knowledge of risk assessment, internal controls, and audit methodologies.

• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls concerning financial reporting.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to influence and achieve results across teams.

• Confident in presenting to senior leadership.

• CIA, CPA, or a similar professional certification is preferred.

• Experience with Optro or comparable audit management tools is advantageous.
