Manager, Global Proposals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and evaluate budgets and proposals for comprehensive, multi-site clinical trials.

• Manage proposal timelines, task assignments, priorities, email communications, client inquiries, and workload distribution.

• Oversee selected intricate or high-priority proposals from RFP to final submission.

• Assess proposals and budgets for precision, consistency, competitiveness, and alignment with protocol and operational expectations.

• Collaborate with Business Development on RFP intake, bid strategy, pricing, and risk assessment.

• Partner with Clinical Operations, Finance, Contracts, and subject matter experts to validate scope, assumptions, timelines, and expenses.

• Mentor and support team members while serving as a resource for complex tasks.

• Utilize advanced Excel for pricing, budget formulation, margin analysis, and scenario planning.

• Ensure accurate proposal and opportunity data is maintained in Salesforce and related systems.

• Identify opportunities to enhance proposal processes, tools, consistency, and efficiency.

• Assist in the transition of awarded studies to operational teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must be based in the U.S.

• Proven experience in developing budgets and proposals for clinical trials in patient studies from a CRO.

• Experience with full-service, multi-site patient studies.

• Familiarity with CRO contracting across the USA, Europe, and Asia.

• Knowledge of clinical trial operations and the creation of full-service proposals and budgets.

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple proposals, meet competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and the elements influencing study scope, timelines, and costs.

• Proficient Excel skills, including the ability to handle complex budgets, pricing models, or financial analyses.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.

• High attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.

• Capacity to work independently and adjust working hours to accommodate global teams, client deadlines, and high proposal volumes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in CRO budgets, proposals, and contracting within a Full Service CRO.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.
