This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Collaborate with regional Sales Leadership to assist customers in assessing and demonstrating the value of Chainguard's solutions.
• Formulate and implement technical sales strategies and account plans.
• Lead and oversee a team of sales engineers.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development.
• Recruit and onboard Sales Engineers for Chainguard's Enterprise business and expansion.
• Establish performance objectives and perform regular evaluations of team performance.
• Work in conjunction with sales to define Enterprise customer needs and deliver technical expertise throughout the sales process.
• Remain updated on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies pertinent to the Enterprise sector.
• Provide insights to product management regarding customer needs and market trends.
• Produce technical sales materials, such as presentations, datasheets, and whitepapers.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including Tech Wins/Losses, POV Time to Close, and ARR.
• Identify areas for staff improvement and execute corrective measures.
• Oversee expenses and ensure compliance with budgetary limits.
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering Leadership within the Enterprise accounts sector.
• At least 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer supporting clients in the Enterprise accounts space.
• Proficiency with container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker).
• Familiarity with cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud security or container security.
• Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales methodologies.
• Must be located in the United States, specifically in DC or the Southeast region.
