This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.
• Lead technical consultations for DCS business sectors.
• Comprehend business practices and processes, gather and document business requirements, and convert them into technical specifications.
• Monitor and manage technologies to assess their maturity and relevance.
• Identify potential new applications and system improvements.
• Assess new IT developments, applications, and changing business/system requirements.
• Facilitate planning and oversee the design, installation, modification, and operation of information systems capabilities.
• Supervise or endorse project strategic plans and functional testing strategies.
• Track project and portfolio performance metrics and business value.
• Ensure that vendor proposals comply with technical specifications.
• Aid in resolving issues among BSI, HSIT, and DCS.
• Manage, recruit, train, coach, evaluate, and develop team members.
• Oversee resource allocations and coordinate staff assignments.
• Provide training and guidance on WebEOC, ArcGIS Online, and other systems.
• Offer tier 2 end-user IT ticket support and lead tier 2 systems support volunteers.
• Develop and maintain tier 2 IT ticket support processes and workflows.
• Create and offer technical support for operational configurations in WebEOC, ArcGIS Online, and other systems.
• Support and maintain permissions, provisioning, and systems access for WebEOC, ArcGIS Online, RC Respond, and other DCS systems.
• Evaluate, install, and customize vendor-supplied or commercial off-the-shelf boards or applications.
• Write or modify code for WebEOC, ArcGIS Online, or other systems as required.
• Report to the Director of DCS Systems Operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience is necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Capability to apply technical expertise to solve problems.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks efficiently.
• Strong management skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Travel may be necessary.
• Proficient in using a personal computer, relevant software, and office equipment for extended periods.
• Operational flexibility to address sudden and unpredictable demands.
• Management experience is not subject to substitution.
