This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing team of credentialing specialists.
• Define credentialing roles, responsibilities, productivity benchmarks, quality expectations, and performance objectives.
• Take ownership of and continuously enhance credentialing policies, protocols, standard operating procedures, workflows, tools, templates, and documentation standards.
• Implement consistent credentialing practices across hospitals, facilities, service lines, and geographic areas.
• Stay informed about credentialing, recredentialing, privileging, licensing, certification, and related requirements.
• Establish and oversee credentialing KPIs, service standards, dashboards, reporting systems, and performance routines.
• Supervise quality assurance and audit programs.
• Analyze credentialing data and trends to pinpoint barriers, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Cultivate relationships with clinicians, hospital medical staff offices, operations leaders, recruitment, payor enrollment, and other stakeholders.
• Act as the senior operational escalation point for intricate credentialing issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to assist with clinician onboarding, hospital implementations, operational readiness, and organizational growth.
• Enhance credentialing platforms, integrations, automation, reporting, and workflows.
• Provide direct operational support during critical business needs and major implementations.
• Lead or engage in cross-functional initiatives related to clinician onboarding, credentialing, technology, compliance, and operational improvement.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare-related fields is preferred.
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) is preferred.
• 3-5 years of credentialing management experience is required.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Teams is necessary.
• Experience with credentialing software and Salesforce is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare credentialing, privileging, recredentialing, licensing, certifications, and medical staff processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, credentialing platforms, workflow management systems, reporting tools, and related technology.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
