This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the geographically distributed Complex Catastrophe Response Team tasked with managing high-severity property claims and surge operations.
• Establish the strategy for handling complex claims and advise on high-severity claim resolutions.
• Manage resources across various functions while ensuring effective communication, prompt decision-making, and comprehensive support for policyholders.
• Enhance organizational capacity and orchestrate responses across Claims, Operations, Legal, Underwriting, Finance, Technology, Communications, and external partners.
• Organize and conduct Mega CAT scenarios.
• Create and uphold catastrophe-response protocols.
• Elevate readiness for catastrophes and lead execution during events.
• Collaborate with senior executives, claims teams, business functions, vendors, independent adjusters, and other partners.
• Leverage technology, data, operational dashboards, analytics, and emerging capabilities to enhance decision-making, response coordination, and capacity.
• Modify response operations in alignment with customer needs, claim conditions, and business priorities.
• Provide support to policyholders and communities in the aftermath of wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, and other large-scale disasters.
• Proven experience in leading complex catastrophe property claims and making high-severity claim decisions.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating catastrophe response and surge operations across multiple functions.
• Background in developing and maintaining catastrophe-response protocols.
• Experience in planning and executing Mega CAT scenarios.
• Proficiency in utilizing digital tools, operational dashboards, and analytics to enhance decision-making and response coordination.
• Capacity to lead a geographically dispersed team effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with various departments including Claims, Operations, Legal, Underwriting, Finance, Special Investigations, Subrogation, Technology, Communications, vendors, independent adjusters, and other business partners.
• Willingness to travel swiftly to affected areas for CAT deployments.
• Availability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays during active events.
• Composed under pressure, skilled in complex problem-solving, customer-care oriented, and adaptable to change.
