This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as a primary research and subject matter expert for Zoetis Pet Care on a global scale.
β’ Plan and carry out research studies that showcase the technical, emotional, and economic advantages of Zoetis products and services for companion animal clients worldwide.
β’ Ensure alignment of research with the Global Pet Care Strategy.
β’ Collaborate with regional partners, Technical Services, Marketing, VMRD, Regulatory Affairs, GMPS, and GPM.
β’ Develop and implement clinical studies and outcomes research strategies that support various Companion Animals brands across different markets.
β’ Create and execute pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research models to measure product value on a global scale.
β’ Ensure that research aligns with market and customer requirements.
β’ Aid in global lifecycle planning and incorporate Phase 4/outcomes research principles into product development and post-launch strategies.
β’ Publish and present research findings both internally and externally.
β’ Share research outcomes across markets and promote knowledge transfer and collaboration.
β’ Engage with global Key Opinion Leaders, academic institutions, and contract research organizations to enhance the scientific evidence base.
β’ Conduct research in collaboration with global clients, contract research organizations, universities, and internal facilities.
β’ Manage international travel, estimated at 20β30%, subject to variability.
β’ PhD, DVM, or MS in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related quantitative discipline; a focus on companion animals is highly preferred.
β’ Advanced training in epidemiology and biostatistics is strongly preferred, including skills in causal inference, longitudinal/mixed models, and survival analysis.
β’ A proven history of designing and implementing outcomes and real-world evidence studies in companion animals, emphasizing economic analyses and decision modeling.
β’ At least 5 years of relevant experience in companion animal health or outcomes research.
β’ Experience with multi-market or global exposure and collaboration with clinics, referral centers, or practice networks is ideal.
β’ Capability to translate complex scientific and economic findings into clear, customer-centric insights.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including experience with publications and conference presentations.
β’ Familiarity with companion animal data sources such as EMR/PIMS, insurance claims, and registries; data quality assessment and privacy/ethics compliance are preferred.
β’ Proficiency in study design, principles of statistical analysis, and reproducible analytics.
β’ Knowledge of survey design and patient/owner-reported outcomes is advantageous.
β’ Expertise in scientific writing and the development of research papers, protocols, and project summaries.
β’ Experience with cross-functional collaboration with Medical/VMRD, Commercial, and Regulatory teams.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of canine and feline health, veterinary clinical practice workflows, and prevalent conditions impacting outcomes and quality of life.
β’ Expertise in statistical analysis using R, Python, SAS, or other software is strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research methods, including cost-effectiveness/budget impact modeling, PRO/HRQoL measurement, utility elicitation, and causal inference.
β’ Experience with veterinary PIMS/EMR, insurance claims, and registry data, along with basic data engineering skills for cohort building and data quality assessment.
β’ Advanced modeling capabilities, including generalized linear/mixed models, survival/time-to-event analyses, longitudinal/clustered data methods, and sensitivity analyses.
β’ Skills in data visualization using tools such as ggplot, matplotlib, Power BI, or Tableau.
β’ Proficiency in reproducible analytics and governance, including version control, documentation, and audit-ready outputs.
β’ Understanding of privacy and ethical standards pertaining to veterinary data.
β’ Ability to work effectively within a global, matrixed environment.
β’ Flexibility in managing research projects with diverse timelines and regional necessities.
β’ Capacity to work from a home office equipped with reliable high-speed internet and a secure workspace for handling sensitive data.
