Manager, Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for designated clients, coders, and other relevant parties.

• Oversee both onshore and offshore coding resources, including payroll management and task assignment.

• Track volume and employee efficiency to uphold SLAs and other contractual commitments.

• Assist in the development and expansion of coding services, including recruitment and hiring of staff.

• Execute or supervise coding, quality reviews, and other middle revenue cycle services.

• Directly engage in, oversee, and propose process enhancements and operational changes to boost efficiency and client relations.

• Prepare and deliver weekly reports to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

• Compile business status reports and present findings to clients.

• Ensure proper alignment of coding personnel according to project scope and objectives.

• Mentor and provide training to internal coding staff.

• Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures for the department.

• Provide both long-term strategic and daily operational management for assigned clients.

• Manage resources and guarantee that employees work efficiently while meeting quality standards.

• Build and sustain positive relationships with client contacts, coders, and revenue cycle management teams.

• Monitor and ensure coding team productivity, adherence to quality standards, DNFC targets, and service-level agreements.

• Coordinate coder mentoring, ongoing coding education, training, and professionalism.


⛳️ Requirements

• AHIMA/AAPC credentials.

• A minimum of five years of coding experience.

• At least three years of employee and client management experience in a remote setting.

• Strong working knowledge of coding and comprehensive revenue cycle management services.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks while multitasking in a fast-paced environment using critical thinking skills.

• Strong managerial, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• A collaborative team player, always ready to contribute to the organization.

• Proficiency in Microsoft and Windows products.
