This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance the skills of a team of Clinical Database Programmers through effective performance management, training, and capability development.
• Coordinate project assignments, timelines, and resource distribution to ensure the delivery of high-quality database programming activities in a timely manner.
• Supervise EDC development and database configuration tasks across both internal and external platforms.
• Evaluate database build specifications, edit check specifications, validation plans, and reconciliation requirements to assure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with sponsors, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to address issues, implement system improvements, and facilitate electronic data transfers.
• Direct database testing, validation, maintenance, and deployment efforts in line with departmental procedures and standards.
• Contribute to the creation of database libraries, system documentation, procedures, and best practices.
• Propel process enhancements, offer technical guidance for new solutions, and assist in the ongoing monitoring of study and system metrics.
• Support quality assurance, audit preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives within Clinical Database Programming.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• Proven experience in leading or managing clinical database programming activities in a clinical research setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EDC systems, database configuration, validation, testing processes, and data management workflows.
• Capability to review technical specifications, validation documentation, and database-related outputs with a high degree of accuracy.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a systematic and logical approach to identifying and addressing issues.
• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality and integrity.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and customer-focused relationship-building skills.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
