This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage civil engineering design initiatives for data center development projects.

• Supervise and coordinate the efforts of civil engineers, design professionals, and engineering consultants.

• Evaluate project risks, materials, and costs.

• Ensure adherence to guidelines, regulations, safety standards, industry codes, and protocols.

• Track project progress and prepare status reports.

• Develop and execute project implementation strategies.

• Approve project timelines and guarantee the timely completion of design stages.

• Establish and uphold quality control and safety standards.

• Offer technical assistance to Sales and Development teams during site evaluations and site test fits.

• Provide technical guidance to the Construction team for ongoing projects.

• Support the I&E team with technical expertise.

• Review and authorize engineering plans, specifications, and reports.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other key stakeholders.

• Manage relationships with new critical project partners.

• Communicate project advancements and challenges to internal management.

• Stay updated on civil engineering and data center design innovations.

• Implement best practices and pioneering solutions.

• Develop budgets, policies, and procedures to support functional infrastructure.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering and land development.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in site design and permitting.

• At least 2 years of experience in developing data center sites, ideally with hyperscale clients.

• Comprehensive knowledge of site due diligence and entitlement processes.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.

• Expertise in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, stormwater management, roadway design, fire coverage, and other aspects of site design.

• Strong project management and supervisory capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Must successfully complete a thorough background screening.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
