This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify and engage potential industry partners to broaden NCCT’s clinical trial opportunities.
• Concentrate business development efforts on therapeutic areas that align with Advocate Health’s strategic goals.
• Create and sustain a comprehensive business development pipeline from initial contact through to contract signing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with NCCT leadership, researchers, legal, finance, compliance, clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
• Keep an eye on industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities.
• Investigate new study opportunities and assess customer needs.
• Develop customized proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and create presentations and pitch materials for potential sponsors.
• Highlight NCCT’s capabilities and value proposition.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with sponsors and CROs.
• Organize business meetings with potential clients based on guidance from Business Development leadership.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to business development activities, deal volume, revenue impact, and partner feedback.
• Drive growth, enhance visibility, and expand the clinical trials portfolio across Advocate Health.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or sales support roles.
• 3+ years of experience within a matrixed organization delivering clinical trial solutions.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing CRM systems such as Salesforce to track pipeline and activities.
• Familiarity with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and CRM platforms.
• Knowledge of clinical trial operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience in business development within the clinical trial sector, preferably in marketing clinical trial site services.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with clinical trial sponsors, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs).
• Experience collaborating with academic medical centers, integrated health systems, or extensive site networks.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and site feasibility.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, collaboration, influence, communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks, work independently, make decisions, and ensure project advancement.
• No licensure, registration, or certification required.
