This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the market
• Spearhead the entire acquisition process within the territory, focusing on high-value middle-market clients through strategic and consultative selling
• Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with CEOs, CFOs, and financial decision-makers
• Establish American Express as the preferred partner for client growth and operational efficiency
• Utilize market intelligence, professional networks, and industry insights to pinpoint, nurture, and convert new business opportunities
• Maintain a robust in-market presence, with 25–50% travel for direct client engagement
• Proven track record in conceptualizing, structuring, selling, and executing creative, innovative deals
• Ensure adherence to proper business processes, conduct, and compliance controls
• Demonstrated capability to build relationships and foster consensus among key internal stakeholders, including pricing, legal, card issuers, risk, and other internal partners
• Strong financial acumen and excellent analytical skills to prepare and present quantitative analyses to potential clients
• Proficient in primary and secondary account/industry research; capable of leveraging professional networks and third-party sources to understand client needs, anticipated objections, and potential leverage points
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong executive presence
• Strong negotiation skills; ability to build rapport and gain credibility with prospects
• Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and directions
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of successful outside sales experience
• Proficiency in Salesforce.com is a plus
• Candidates must reside within the designated territory
• A valid driver's license is required
• Disclosure of all moving violations within the past 3 years is necessary during the application process
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available
