This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee all interactions with the c3 and c4 Boards of Directors on behalf of the Executive Director.
β’ Create a comprehensive communication strategy for the year, focusing on organizational priorities, finances, and strategic initiatives for both boards.
β’ Act as the subject matter expert on Board bylaws and manage related communications and collaborative efforts across teams.
β’ Organize, schedule, and facilitate both in-person and virtual board meetings and retreats.
β’ Attend board meetings, prepare agendas, and accurately record minutes for governance records.
β’ Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and transition processes for C4 board members.
β’ Draft research and briefing documents for the Executive Director in advance of meetings and public events.
β’ Participate in meetings, take notes, and assist with follow-up communications with staff and partners.
β’ Help with email correspondence, scheduling, and planning to optimize the Executive Director's time management.
β’ Aid in the management and monitoring of the Executive Office budget.
β’ Support the executive team with data management, drive storage, and digital security measures.
β’ Field and respond to inquiries and requests from the public and staff.
β’ Serve as the main contact for the Special Advisor to the President.
β’ Coordinate with external partners and public speaking agents regarding the Executive Director's public engagements.
β’ Collaborate with press and communications teams on media opportunities for the Executive Director.
β’ Assist in the development of strategic internal and external communications.
β’ Manage requests and information flow to the President and Executive Director from the Executive Office.
β’ Oversee special projects of strategic importance for the President and Executive Director.
β’ Provide operational support and strategic insights on projects across the Executive Office and the organization.
β’ Engage in annual strategic planning and budgeting processes.
β’ Offer coverage for scheduling, staff communications, and program management during colleagues' absences from the Executive Office.
β’ Proven expertise, skills, and interest in board and office operations, travel and calendar management, budgeting, retreat planning, and both digital and physical security management.
β’ Proficient in Google Suite, including Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
β’ Significant experience in creating engaging, informative, and visually appealing presentation decks is advantageous.
β’ Ability to travel domestically at least 25% of the year to provide direct support to the Executive Director.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks with effective time management skills.
β’ Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a driven team environment.
β’ Alignment with and agreement to NDWA's vision and values.
β’ Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred) are a plus, but not mandatory.
β’ Submission of a resume and a writing sample of less than 750 words is required for application.
