This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise daily customer billing operations to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
• Handle recurring monthly charges, usage fees, one-time charges, installation costs, equipment, taxes, surcharges, credits, adjustments, and other relevant charges.
• Create and manage quality control processes to detect billing errors prior to invoice distribution.
• Address complex billing issues and escalations involving strategic or high-value clients.
• Ensure that billing accurately reflects contracts, service orders, amendments, pricing alterations, discounts, and disconnection activities.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery to ensure newly installed services are accurately transitioned into billing.
• Ensure that moves, additions, changes, and disconnections are accurately represented in customer billing.
• Develop and uphold policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
• Design and oversee a revenue assurance program aimed at identifying and preventing revenue leakage.
• Audit contracts, orders, provisioning records, service inventory, billing, and vendor costs.
• Identify active unbilled services, billing inaccuracies, incorrect rates, and vendor costs persisting after disconnections.
• Analyze billing and service data for trends, anomalies, systemic issues, and revenue loss.
• Track revenue leakage until resolved and quantify recovered revenue or losses prevented.
• Collaborate with operational teams to tackle root causes.
• Develop automated and exception-based reporting systems.
• Support COGS audits and initiatives aimed at reducing telecommunications expenses.
• Oversee billing disputes, credits, adjustments, and corrections.
• Present recommendations to senior leadership regarding revenue recovery, cost reduction, margin enhancement, and process modifications.
• Establish approval controls and documentation requirements for credits and adjustments.
• Represent Billing and Revenue Assurance in strategic initiatives, projects, implementations, acquisitions, migrations, and product launches.
• Analyze recurring disputes and monitor aging disputes for timely resolution.
• Present complex billing issues, financial trends, service inventories, credits, disputes, and remediation strategies to customer leadership and executives.
• Identify risks within strategic accounts and formulate cross-functional action plans.
• Act as an escalation point for high-value and complex customer billing matters.
• Evaluate the order-to-cash lifecycle for accuracy, controls, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for strategic and enterprise customers during QBRs, executive meetings, and financial discussions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and lead root-cause analyses.
• Participate in system implementations, platform upgrades, migrations, acquisitions, and product launches.
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards.
• Cultivate team expertise in telecommunications products, billing systems, carrier invoices, service inventory, contracts, and revenue assurance.
• Promote integrity, accountability, ethical conduct, and high standards within the department.
• Adhere to and enforce company policies, EEO guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
• Over 5 years of experience in telecommunications billing, revenue assurance, finance, service delivery, operations, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Strong comprehension of telecommunications billing and the order-to-cash lifecycle.
• Experience with recurring services, usage-based billing, telecom taxes and surcharges, credits, adjustments, and service disconnections.
• Proficiency in analyzing carrier/vendor invoices and telecommunications service expenses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies across various systems and data sources.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and intricate operational challenges.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven capability to collaborate effectively across departments and drive issues to resolution.
• Background record that aligns with Company standards.
• Reliable transportation available at all times.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial and other sensitive information.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that consistently meet company standards when driving is necessary.
• Capability to perform essential physical activities, including occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
• Must comply with the Company's drug-free workplace policies and programs.
• Mandatory pre-employment testing and random testing throughout employment are required.
• Salaried, exempt position requiring 40 hours of work per week.
• Additional hours as needed.
• Emergency availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays as designated by the department manager.
