This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the yearly budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles in collaboration with department leaders.
• Develop and enhance budgetary and accounting policies.
• Generate long-term profit and cash flow projections for effective resource allocation.
• Prepare timely financial statements and management accounts for leadership review.
• Convert income statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis into actionable business performance insights.
• Ensure that financial reporting is precise and adheres to statutory and accounting standards.
• Analyze operating costs, income, and expenditures to uncover opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Conduct pricing, sensitivity, and industry benchmarking analyses.
• Create and maintain financial models for valuation, capital investment assessments, and expansion strategies.
• Evaluate cash flow and financial risks associated with proposed projects.
• Collaborate with non-financial stakeholders to communicate financial insights effectively.
• Implement and uphold accounting systems and internal controls.
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring reporting compliance.
• Report to Pippa Strong while working closely with leadership and departments across the organization.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis for a multi-entity or international organization.
• Strong skills in financial modeling.
• Experience in valuation, capital investment appraisal, and pricing/sensitivity analysis.
• Ability to confidently present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable taking ownership of deliverables independently in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
• Proficient in using Xero, Excel/Google Sheets, Domo, HubSpot, Rippling, and Brex, or similar tools.
• Quick to adapt to new systems.
• Preferred: experience in a high-growth SaaS or eCommerce company.
• Preferred: exposure to M&A or project finance.
