This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Prepare and review journal entries for designated entities.
• Assist the Manager with the monthly closing activities.
• Train and guide team members on accounting tasks, including Timeshare and Resort Revenue, operating expenses, Fixed Asset, Payroll, AR, and AP processes.
• Support the SEC team in reporting activities.
• Aid in the budgeting process.
• Prepare and evaluate balance sheet reconciliations and identify necessary correcting entries.
• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations submitted by team members.
• Prepare and analyze bank reconciliations and record journal entries to resolve outstanding items.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements before they are distributed to the Manager.
• Create and post journal entries while analyzing financial results.
• Guarantee that deadlines and deliverables are met with exceptional quality.
• Assist the Manager in enhancing efficiencies by assessing processes and procedures.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of data.
• Document processes and procedures comprehensively.
• Conduct ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and modeling as required.
• Undertake special projects as requested by management.
• Provide support to co-team members and internal clients with financial information.
• Assist auditors with year-end reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Accounting and cross-departmental teams on company-wide objectives and special initiatives.
• A 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and Word.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, systems, and procedures.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is necessary.
