This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Take charge of accounting and closing procedures.
• Oversee and assess month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
• Analyze Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements while investigating variances.
• Execute and review bank reconciliations and track cash movements.
• Ensure effective payment controls are in place.
• Review invoices, accruals, and accounting entries for Accounts Payable.
• Address payment discrepancies.
• Monitor customer balances and invoicing processes within Accounts Receivable.
• Maintain precise customer records and ensure consistency between CRM and ERP data.
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies among group entities.
• Assist in the preparation and review of Spanish tax filings.
• Keep accounting records compliant with Spanish GAAP and internal policies.
• Support external audits and address auditors’ inquiries.
• Aid in the preparation of statutory financial statements and annual accounts.
• Identify and recommend improvements and automation for accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar discipline.
• A Master's degree in audit would be advantageous.
• 1–2 years of prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and Spanish GAAP.
• Solid grasp of financial statements, Balance Sheets, and Profit & Loss accounts.
• Good knowledge of Spanish tax regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, accruals, and accounting reviews.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced skills in Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and high digital literacy.
• SAP experience is highly valued.
• Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and make informed accounting decisions.
• Comfortable operating in a cross-functional and international setting.

• Must be residing in Spain or be eligible to work in Spain (location specified as Spain).
