This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate customer contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition in alignment with GAAP and ASC 606.
• Assist with end-of-period closing activities.
• Manage special projects as needed.
• Guide and review the work of junior revenue accountants.
• Work in conjunction with Billing and other internal teams to uphold compliance with accounting regulations.
• Assess and process customer contracts for revenue implications under ASC 606.
• Address checklist inquiries related to revenue recognition.
• Conduct revenue recognition analyses, including allocations for multi-element revenue.
• Develop revenue schedules for posting to the ledger.
• Review checklist inquiries from revenue accountants, revenue schedules, and recognition analyses.
• Evaluate contract costs workbooks, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare and analyze ad-hoc reports.
• Undertake projects aimed at process improvement.
• Collaborate on revenue posting tasks, including exception reports and revenue schedules.
• Create journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Analyze monthly budget-to-actual variances.
• Prepare or review reconciliations for ledger accounts.
• Assist with assigned closing procedures.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• CPA certification is essential.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment, sharing responsibilities to achieve collective goals.
• Ability to enhance or streamline processes.
• Experience in revenue recognition, especially concerning SaaS.
• Familiarity with ASC 606 is necessary.
• Background in reviewing customer contracts is preferred.
• Knowledge of Workday is advantageous.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Adaptability to quickly change priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in operating computer programs and software.
• Effective communication skills for in-person and electronic interactions.
• Capacity to make independent decisions.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative workspace with frequent interruptions.
