Major Project Technician, Temp Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a distinguished team of technicians on a variety of projects, including large-scale events, utility services, and refinery turnarounds.

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and/or oil-free air systems.

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions on Major Projects and within service centers.

• Determine nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements through mathematical calculations.

• Interpret and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.

• Uphold and advocate for safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.

• Collaborate with a remote operations center to avert failures, design proactive failure notifications, and assist with compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with power generators, including conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

• Proficient in using metering devices and instruments such as multimeters, amp meters, and hygrometers.

• May need to acquire and maintain a TWIC card or a valid DOT medical card based on client requirements.

• A valid driver's license may be necessary.

• Capability to move or lift items generally under 75 lbs.

• Must be available to adhere to the assigned schedule, travel to job sites, and be on standby outside of regular shifts.

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; navigate uneven terrain with stable balance.

• Functional range of motion to safely work from ground/floor level to overhead levels.

• Finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and adequate grip strength are essential.

• Must successfully pass the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and a post-offer physical abilities evaluation.

• Ability to lift 60 lbs., push/pull 80 lbs., carry 60 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, ascend while carrying 15 lbs., stoop, kneel, and squat.
