Looker Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance Looker semantic models to facilitate reliable self-service analytics and AI-driven insights utilizing Gemini.

• Collaborate with business and data teams to transition and improve reporting functionalities from Power BI to Looker.

• Examine and map current Power BI datasets, measures, and queries into Looker semantic models.

• Create and maintain LookML models, including views, explores, dimensions, and measures.

• Improve LookML performance, usability, and scalability.

• Align semantic models with enterprise Knowledge Catalogs and regulated Data Products.

• Enable analytics experiences powered by Gemini through well-organized and reliable semantic layers.

• Work alongside Data Engineering and Business teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across reporting assets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Looker and LookML development.

• Experience in migrating or converting Power BI semantic models and business logic.

• Proficiency in SQL and dimensional data modeling.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery.

• Understanding of Gemini, conversational BI, and AI-enhanced analytics functionalities.

• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and semantic layer design.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD methodologies for analytics development.
