This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Spearhead sales initiatives, foster business development, and respond to customer needs within a designated long-term care region.
• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians, physician extenders, pharmacists, and leadership and staff in nursing facilities.
• Advocate for Acadia products by providing compliant clinical education, disease state insights, and reimbursement information.
• Utilize advanced selling techniques to address customer inquiries, concerns, and objections effectively.
• Cultivate knowledge of customers, practices, and local/regional market dynamics for strategic business planning.
• Develop and implement quarterly business/action plans for the territory, leveraging data to optimize reach, frequency, and impact within budget constraints.
• Offer guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and profitability metrics specific to long-term care; coordinate on access-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with sales leadership, territory colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training events.
• Mentor and train new or junior Sales Specialists and engage in cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and long-term care regulations.
• Shape territory strategy, influence regional programs, and independently tackle complex business challenges.
• A bachelor's degree is required; a focus on life sciences is preferred.
• Sales Specialist level: A minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare sales; neuroscience focus is preferred.
• Sr. Specialist level: At least 8 years of experience in healthcare sales, including a minimum of 2 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Executive level: Minimum of 12 years in healthcare sales, with at least 3 years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of neuroscience, dynamics of the long-term care market, payer systems (Part A, Part D), specialty distribution, and relevant LTC regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement tools such as Zoom and WebEx.
• Demonstrated capabilities in regional leadership, mentorship, and serving as a role model.
• Strong business acumen, organizational skills, self-motivation, and a mindset of business ownership.
• Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its boundary and, when necessary, near a major airport.
• Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; ability to operate a company vehicle daily and travel independently by air.
• Travel requirements may reach up to 80%, including overnight stays and occasional after-hours commitments.
• Must comply with vaccination and facility access prerequisites for customer interactions and events.
• Capability to perform regular activities such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and communicating visually, verbally, and audibly.
• Occasional ability to lift and/or transport up to 20 pounds.
