Localization Project Manager – Japanese Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assess expenses and create project budgets along with client estimates

• Oversee all stages of projects and set realistic deadlines

• Utilize Plunet for time management and supervise projects throughout their duration

• Comply with relevant policies and procedures

• Address client inquiries through chat, phone, and email

• Update group chats with activity reports and collaborate with colleagues on tasks

• Negotiate timelines and compensation with freelancers using HR freelancer databases

• Build and sustain relationships with freelancers globally

• Track and manage project progress

• Administer project finances and budgeting

• Conduct quality assurance checks, including proofreading and final evaluation

• Address queries from freelancers

• Serve as the liaison between clients and freelance translators or interpreters

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, business administration, and customer service

• Familiarity with localization processes

• Proficient in using CAT tools, including Smartcat and MemoQ

• Experienced in translation management systems such as Trados

• A university degree in Business Administration, Translations, or a related field is preferred

• Advanced verbal and written communication proficiency in English (Native or C1) and Japanese

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail

• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

• Outstanding cross-cultural and interpersonal communication abilities

• Strong professionalism and courteousness

• Full professional dedication during scheduled working hours
