• Engage in technical sessions with customers and gradually take on a leadership role in these discussions.
• Analyze systems under pressure by utilizing metrics, traces, logs, and observing application behavior.
• Clearly articulate performance findings and latency behavior to customers.
• Critique test scenarios that may not effectively address the intended questions.
• Provide sound engineering recommendations during live and iterative load-testing engagements.
• Tackle practical performance-engineering challenges involving test data, account pools, unreliable protocol clients, complex environments, and load-specific behavior.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering with significant ownership of delivered projects.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Practical experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including infrastructure as code and containerization.
• Awareness of the technical and financial implications of aggressive infrastructure scaling.
• Ability to maintain a typed backend and React frontend that were not originally developed by the candidate.

• Strong communication skills to lead technical customer sessions, present findings clearly, and make informed engineering recommendations.
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Experience with performance or load-testing tools such as Locust, k6, JMeter, Gatling, or custom-built tools is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with games, real-time systems, or high-traffic consumer platforms is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work during some testing windows outside of regular office hours.

• A position that merges hands-on engineering, in-depth technical problem-solving, and customer service, rather than being solely focused on a ticket queue or pure consultancy.
• Genuine ownership of a well-established load-testing platform that is functional and proven, with the autonomy to enhance it as our needs progress.
• Opportunities for career growth with Cyrex. As you gain expertise and take on additional responsibilities, there are chances to lead larger and more complex projects, deepen your technical ownership, influence our approach to performance engineering, and evolve into broader technical or leadership roles.
• Direct interaction with the engineering teams you support, with the chance to become a trusted technical partner to some of the world’s most demanding technology companies.
• Immediate access to founders and leadership, with decisions made swiftly rather than taking months.
• Competitive salary with clear and regular performance reviews.
• A small, diverse team where your contributions are recognized, and there is room to shape your role as the company grows.
