Licensing & Training Specialist, Foster Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Recruit, train, and license foster parents.

• Deliver pre-service training for prospective foster parents.

• Evaluate and assess potential foster parents in accordance with state and agency regulations.

• Assist potential parents throughout the licensing process.

• Submit necessary licensing paperwork to the state and required agency documentation.

• Ensure ongoing compliance of foster parent training after licensing.

• Provide supervision and assessment at least quarterly.

• Maintain files and documentation that are audit-ready.

• Collaborate with the foster care coordinator to support foster parents and uphold child placements.

• Engage in public speaking and marketing initiatives to attract families.

• Aid in finding placements for children.

• Guarantee the safe placement of children.

• Deliver exceptional customer service responses.

• Provide support to families within the Gaston County area.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field.

• At least 2 years of pertinent professional experience.

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.

• Compliance with any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards related to the programs you oversee.

• Fulfillment of criteria as a Qualified Professional in North Carolina.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite application software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Successful completion of a drug screening test.

• Comprehensive background check is mandatory.

• Enthusiasm for working with youth and adolescents.

• Availability to work standard hours of 8-5, with occasional evenings or weekends.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
