This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
• Provide continuous support to the Senior Legal Counsel and the broader Licensing team on various licensing initiatives.
• Assist with the submission of licence applications, renewals, and related issues.
• Address incoming internal and external due diligence inquiries, as well as outgoing requests when necessary.
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports for submission to regulatory authorities.
• Keep records of licence applications and current licences, including maintaining central spreadsheets and licence registers.
• Monitor the WHG licensing mailbox daily and ensure timely handling of tasks.
• Follow up on email responses to ensure efficient task completion.
• Review pertinent regulations and monitor upcoming market launches.
• Collaborate with internal personal licence applicants and external legal advisors to fulfill licensing requirements.
• File regulatory notifications and maintain records of events that require notification.
• Access application portals to facilitate licence applications and renewals.
• Contribute to team to-do lists, meeting agendas, and minutes.
• Update guidance documents and uphold established processes.
• Report to the Senior Legal Counsel within the Licensing team of the Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory department.
• Prior experience in a licensing role or supporting licence applications within the iGaming industry.
• Strong understanding of corporate due diligence requirements and procedures.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Capability to manage a demanding workload, effectively prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines.
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A proactive and optimistic mindset.
• Solutions-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn.
• A collaborative team player willing to contribute across various workstreams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Jira and AI tools is a plus.
