This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and related diagnoses in a virtual clinic/telehealth environment.
• Utilize Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and other evidence-supported treatments throughout various life stages.
• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct patient care and allocating remaining time for administrative responsibilities.
• Engage in initial and ongoing training sessions.
• Evaluate and diagnose mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.
• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and coordinate with the treatment team via Equip’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Contribute to treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental gatherings.
• Maintain licensure in your home state and acquire additional state licenses as needed.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Possess an active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in West Virginia.
• Capability to assist patients of all ages, including those with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying levels of acuity.
• Strong commitment to evidence-based care and treatment methodologies.
• Availability to provide care two evenings per week until 8 PM in the primary patient time zone.
• Proficient in delivering care safely and effectively in a virtual format.
• Enthusiasm for mental health and eating disorder treatment, and dedication to enhancing access to these services.
• Ability to commit to 30 hours per week of direct patient care availability.
• Willingness to provide at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM during the week (3 PM in Mountain Standard Time).
• Readiness to attend mandatory meetings, including group supervision, treatment huddles, labs/all-hands, and individual supervision.
• Hold a graduate degree in mental health counseling/therapy from a program accredited by CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC, or an equivalent body, having successfully completed a Master’s or Doctoral program.
• Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment settings is preferred but not required.
• Experience assisting patients with suicidal thoughts and trauma is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in case management and/or multidisciplinary care teams is preferred but not required.
