This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Accept referrals and maintain a minimum client load of 18 hours per week.
• Provide counseling to clients or patients either individually or in family sessions.
• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) when there is little to no progress after 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.
• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies for managing their challenges.
• Create and implement treatment plans grounded in clinical experience and knowledge.
• Establish SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals with patients.
• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours post-intake and review or modify them every 4 weeks.
• Complete and maintain all client-related documentation, including diagnostic records and progress notes.
• Generate progress notes within 48 hours following each session.
• Prepare and uphold all required treatment records and reports.
• Assess clients' physical or mental health conditions based on gathered client information.
• Collaborate with staff on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care for existing patients.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists when necessary.
• Stay updated on counseling advancements through professional literature, courses, seminars, and interactions with social service agencies.
• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional experience in a counseling setting.
• Current and active license to practice behavioral health in Texas.
• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, specifically with oncology.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
• Minimum client load of 18 hours per week.
