This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Provide counseling to clients or patients either individually or in family sessions.
• Make internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) when there is minimal to no progress within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.
• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies to tackle their issues.
• Create and execute treatment plans with SMART goals within 72 hours of intake.
• Review and adjust treatment plans every 4 weeks.
• Complete and maintain all client documentation, diagnostic records, and progress notes.
• Draft progress notes within 48 hours following each session.
• Prepare and uphold necessary treatment records and reports.
• Assess clients' physical or mental health based on the information provided by them.
• Work collaboratively with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to appropriate community resources or specialists as necessary.
• Stay updated on counseling advancements through professional literature, courses, seminars, and connections with social service agencies.
• Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.
• An active Licensed Professional Counselor license in Virginia is mandatory.
• Cross-licensure in Texas must be obtained prior to commencement.
• Minimum client load of 18 hours per week is expected.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
• Option to transition from a 1099 contractor to a W2 employee after 90 days, provided an average of 25 hours per week is met.
