This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accept referrals and maintain a client load of at least 18 hours per week.

• Provide individual counseling to clients or conduct family sessions to support them in overcoming dependencies, adapting to life changes, or making necessary adjustments.

• Initiate internal referrals to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) if there is minimal to no progress within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies for addressing their issues.

• Create and execute treatment plans grounded in clinical experience and knowledge, setting SMART goals in collaboration with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours post-intake and revise or adjust them every 4 weeks.

• Complete and maintain all client-related documentation, which includes diagnostic records and progress notes.

• Develop progress notes within 48 hours following each session.

• Prepare and uphold necessary treatment records and reports.

• Assess clients' physical or mental conditions based on the review of their information.

• Work together with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of starting care with existing patients.

• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as needed.

• Stay updated on new counseling developments through professional literature, courses, seminars, and interactions with social service agencies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling setting.

• A current and active Licensed Professional Counselor license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Cross-licensure in Texas is required for this position before commencement.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
