Licensed Professional Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Accept referrals and maintain a caseload of at least 18 hours per week.

• Provide individual and/or family counseling sessions to help clients overcome dependencies, adapt to life changes, or implement necessary adjustments.

• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) if there is minimal to no progress within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in developing skills or strategies to address their challenges.

• Create and execute treatment plans grounded in clinical expertise and knowledge, setting SMART goals with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours following intake and review or amend them every 4 weeks.

• Complete and manage client-related documentation, which includes diagnostic records and progress notes.

• Generate progress notes within 48 hours after each session.

• Prepare and maintain necessary treatment records and reports.

• Assess clients' physical or mental health based on provided information.

• Collaborate with colleagues on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.

• Direct patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as needed.

• Keep updated on counseling advancements through professional literature, educational courses, seminars, and engagement with social service agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

• Two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.

• A current and active Licensed Professional Counselor license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.
