Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Spanish Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient services through Brave Health's telehealth program.

• Provide compassionate and high-quality mental health care.

• Cater to patients across all age groups.

• Collaborate with commercial health plans and function as a licensed Medicaid and Medicare provider.

• Complete around 30 client-care hours weekly, averaging six clients daily.

• Utilize mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses to inform treatment.

• Create individualized treatment plans.

• Perform thorough assessments.

• Collaborate with clients to reach their treatment objectives.

• Employ telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Assist Brave Health in expanding into new regions by securing additional state licenses as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree and appropriate licensure.

• LMHC and LMFT applicants must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, presently or in the future.

• Must not depend on temporary or employer-reliant visa statuses.

• A private workspace at home to ensure patient safety and maintain HIPAA compliance.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Spanish language skills are preferred; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

• Familiarity with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

• Skills in treatment planning.

• Comfortable utilizing telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Experience in partnering with clients to achieve their goals.

• Capability to conduct comprehensive assessments.

• Willingness to complete 30 client-care hours per week.

• Experience working with patients facing chronic severe mental health issues, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Openness to obtaining necessary additional state licenses.
