Licensed Mental Health Counselor – LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient mental health services through Brave Health's telehealth program on a full-time basis.

• Utilize technology to provide mental health treatment, enhancing access to care.

• Assess and diagnose conditions related to mental health and/or substance abuse.

• Create individualized treatment plans.

• Collaborate with clients to help them achieve their personal goals.

• Perform thorough assessments of clients.

• Offer care to patients throughout various stages of life.

• Manage approximately 30 client-care hours weekly, averaging 6 clients daily.

• Employ telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication platforms.

• Assist in Brave Health's growth into new markets by acquiring additional state licenses as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master's degree and relevant licensure are required.

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, both now and in the future.

• A work-from-home environment that ensures privacy for patient safety and compliance with HIPAA.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Spanish language skills are preferred, and knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses is necessary.

• Experience in treatment planning is required.

• Comfort with telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools is essential.

• Proven experience in collaborating with clients to reach their goals.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments is necessary.

• Capacity to provide 30 client-care hours weekly, with an average of 6 clients per day.

• Experience working with patients facing chronic severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder, is essential.

• Must be willing to secure additional state licenses as required.
