Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver full-time outpatient services via Brave Health's telehealth program

• Provide mental health treatment to individuals of all ages

• Collaborate with commercial health plans and deliver care as a licensed Medicaid and Medicare provider

• Complete 30 client care hours weekly, seeing around 6 clients each day

• Utilize mental health and/or substance use diagnoses to guide treatment

• Create treatment plans and perform thorough assessments

• Employ telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools throughout the workday

• Operate from a private home workspace to ensure patient safety and maintain HIPAA compliance

• Fulfill additional state licensure requirements as Brave Health expands into new markets

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D)

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, both now and in the future

• Home workspace should ensure privacy for patient safety and HIPAA compliance

• Fluency in English is required; Spanish is preferred, and proficiency in other languages is advantageous

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance use diagnoses

• Experience in treatment planning

• Comfortable using telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools

• Proven experience in partnering with clients to achieve their goals

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments

• Currently fully/independently licensed in at least one state

• Openness to obtaining additional state licenses as necessary
