Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Offer outpatient services through Brave Health’s telehealth platform

• Provide empathetic, high-quality mental health care to patients of all ages

• Assess and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders

• Develop individualized treatment plans

• Perform thorough assessments

• Collaborate with clients to help them reach their objectives

• Utilize telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools throughout the day

• Complete 30 hours of client care weekly, averaging six clients daily

• Assist Brave Health in expanding into new regions by acquiring additional state licenses as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree and relevant licensure

• Candidates for LMHC and LMFT must possess Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D)

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

• Home office must ensure privacy for patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations

• Proficiency in English; Spanish is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous

• Understanding of mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnoses

• Skills in treatment planning

• Comfort with telehealth software, video conferencing, and internal communication tools

• Experience in partnering with clients to achieve their goals

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments

• Must be prepared to complete 30 hours of client care each week

• Experience with patients suffering from chronic severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder

• Must be open to obtaining additional state licenses upon request
