Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC-D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver outpatient services through Brave Health's telehealth platform.

• Provide compassionate and high-quality mental health care.

• Cater to patients of all ages.

• Diagnose conditions related to mental health and/or substance use.

• Create tailored treatment plans.

• Conduct thorough assessments.

• Collaborate with clients to reach their treatment objectives.

• Utilize telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools throughout the day.

• Complete 30 client care hours weekly, averaging six clients daily.

• Potential to acquire additional state licenses as Brave Health expands into new regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Master's level degree and appropriate licensure.

• LMHC and LMFT candidates are required to have Diagnostic Privileges (LMHC-D / LMFT-D).

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Must not rely on temporary or employer-dependent visa statuses.

• A private home workspace to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• Proficient in English.

• Spanish language skills are preferred; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.

• Familiarity with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses.

• Experience in treatment planning.

• Comfort with telehealth software, video communication, and internal communication tools.

• Proven experience collaborating with clients to achieve their goals.

• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments.

• Willingness and ability to complete 30 client care hours per week.

• Experience with patients suffering from chronic severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, or schizoaffective disorder.

• Must hold a current independent license; eligible credentials include LMHC-D, LMFT-D, LMHC, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
