This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Respond to incoming warm leads from prospective clients interested in pet insurance policies.
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify customer needs and customize insurance solutions accordingly.
• Articulate the value and advantages of pet insurance policies effectively.
• Establish call agendas to maintain control of conversations and steer them towards enrollment.
• Provide detailed information regarding policies and coverage options while addressing customer inquiries and objections.
• Confidently and empathetically address objections and concerns.
• Employ assumptive closing techniques to assist customers throughout the enrollment process.
• Accurately enroll pets in policies and gather as well as document necessary information.
• Support existing members reaching out to Trupanion.
• Work collaboratively with the sales team and management to achieve and surpass sales goals and objectives.
• Manage escalated customer issues and sensitive discussions while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Active provincial General/P&C Insurance license, such as an OTL General Insurance Agent license, General Level 1 license, or equivalent, based on province of residence.
• Eligibility for license reciprocity in additional jurisdictions, excluding Québec.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales position.
• Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to listen actively, comprehend customer needs, and provide suitable solutions.
• Familiarity with the insurance sector, especially pet insurance, is advantageous.
• Strong capability to manage objections and convert them into opportunities.
• Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals and productivity benchmarks.
• Positive demeanor, adaptability, and a desire to learn and grow within the position.
• Competence in basic computer applications and data entry.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends on both Saturday and Sunday.
• Must hold a valid insurance selling license in Canada and the respective province of residence.
• Weekend availability is mandatory.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with flexibility regarding shift timings.
• Training schedule available from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time for the initial eight weeks.
