Licensed Inbound Insurance Sales Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming warm leads from prospective customers interested in pet insurance policies.

• Employ a consultative sales approach to identify customer needs and customize insurance solutions.

• Highlight the value and advantages of pet insurance policies.

• Establish call agendas, maintain control of the conversation, and steer discussions towards enrollment.

• Clarify policies and coverage options while addressing customer inquiries and objections.

• Confidently and empathetically address objections and concerns.

• Utilize assumptive closing techniques to assist customers through the enrollment process.

• Accurately enroll pets in policies while gathering and documenting necessary information.

• Provide support to existing members reaching out to Trupanion.

• Work collaboratively with the sales team and management to achieve and exceed sales goals and objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid provincial General/P&C Insurance license, such as an OTL General Insurance Agent license, General Level 1 license, or equivalent, based on province of residence.

• Qualification for license reciprocity in other jurisdictions, excluding Québec.

• At least 2 years of experience in a sales position.

• Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Competence in active listening, understanding customer needs, and delivering suitable solutions.

• Familiarity with the insurance industry, especially pet insurance, is advantageous.

• Strong capability to manage objections and convert them into opportunities.

• Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals and productivity standards.

• A positive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to learn and develop.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.

• Availability to work on both Saturday and Sunday.

• Willingness to adapt to rotating 8-hour shifts, including shifts from 3:00 AM to 1:30 PM Pacific Time.

• Must hold a valid insurance license in Canada and the province of residence.
