Legal Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Foster the adoption and enablement of CLM to empower the revenue team in self-serving standard deals.

• Take ownership of workflow optimization, templates, and playbooks as deal structures and products develop.

• Perform initial reviews and redlining of standard agreements.

• Draft agreements using templates as needed based on volume.

• Create and manage a structured intake process for legal workstreams throughout the organization.

• Develop AI-enhanced workflows, agents, and automation to replace manual tasks.

• Oversee privacy registers, AI inventories, and compliance calendars.

• Provide training to cross-functional teams on self-service tools and escalation procedures.

• Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee the legal tech stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or contract management.

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in-house at a technology or SaaS company.

• Experience in implementing or rebuilding a CLM; Ironclad experience is preferred.

• Proficient in designing intake workflows.

• Established reliable reporting mechanisms.

• Experience with reviewing and redlining commercial agreements on both sell-side and buy-side documentation.

• Comfortable utilizing AI-assisted legal tools, LLMs, and automation platforms.

• Open to experimentation with new AI and automation technologies.

• Ability to work independently in a role with significant autonomy.

• Good judgment regarding tasks suitable for independent handling versus those needing legal counsel.

• Proven ability to create tools that are actively used by others.
