Serious Injury Solicitor, Grade C – Multiple Hires

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of serious injury claims for claimants, primarily related to road traffic accidents, which involve intricate technical matters and valuation.

• Collaborate closely with the lead fee earner, taking on chargeable tasks and assisting in the advancement of cases.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of each case, including significant disputes and strategies for resolution.

• Expedite agreed actions promptly in accordance with the plan established with the lead fee earner.

• Handle chargeable tasks under the supervision of the fee earner.

• Regularly meet clients, both in person and via phone.

• Coordinate with medical specialists, case managers, care professionals, architects, forensic accountants, and legal counsel.

• Conduct research and analysis related to liability, causation, and valuation.

• Prepare statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss.

• Ensure early interim payments and suitable rehabilitation, while optimizing settlement outcomes.

• Serve as a dependable point of contact for clients and other involved parties.

• Maintain the case management system with current information.

• Develop a strong understanding of common issues in serious injury claims.

• Collaborate with the Finance team regarding disbursements and accounts.

• Prepare documentation for client meetings, conferences, and settlement discussions.

• Enhance your own profile and that of the department through engagement with APIL, Headway, and SIA, including case reporting, writing articles, and providing testimonials.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified legal professional — Solicitor or FCILEx — capable of justifying a Grade C rate.

• Proven experience in assisting with or managing serious injury claims, comfortable in liaising with multi-disciplinary specialists.

• Genuine dedication to client care.

• Excellent communication skills — including negotiation and managing objections.

• Ability to meet objectives quickly without compromising quality or care.

• Proficient with case management systems, Excel, and Word.

• Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and effective time management skills.
