This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee legal operations initiatives by assessing, standardizing, and enhancing processes, workflows, governance practices, and service delivery models.
• Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, scorecards, forecasting models, and executive reports for the legal department.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, oversight of outside counsel, spend analysis, and ROI assessment for the legal department.
• Review, implement, and enhance legal technology solutions such as Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), matter management, eBilling, document management, eDiscovery, knowledge management, workflow automation, and AI-driven legal tools.
• Lead the AI strategy and its integration within the legal function by identifying applicable use cases, establishing governance standards, assessing outcomes, and advocating for responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, Digital, Finance, Compliance, and business stakeholders on technology implementations, system integrations, process enhancements, and transformation projects.
• Develop and deliver training, user documentation, change management programs, and adoption strategies.
• Evaluate legal operational data, spending patterns, litigation activities, contract cycle durations, and technology adoption metrics.
• Assist in legal transformation roadmaps, business cases, modernization efforts, operating models, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert in legal operations, legal technology, and AI-enhanced legal processes.
• Engage in additional projects and responsibilities to address ongoing business needs.
• Report directly to the VP, General Counsel.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, legal project management, or a related area.
• 5-8+ years of practical experience in the implementation and use of AI solutions.
• Proven experience with legal technology platforms.
• Understanding of legal operations, process enhancement, and organizational transformation principles.
• Familiarity with AI governance, prompt engineering, adoption strategies, and enterprise generative AI solutions, including Microsoft Copilot.
• Proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
• Expertise in designing governance frameworks, operating procedures, controls, and performance measurement systems.
• Capability to lead change management efforts, promote technology adoption, and influence stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in translating business needs into technological solutions.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and Copilot technologies.
• Strong project management, change management, stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work across various business units, entities, or matrixed stakeholder groups and influence without direct authority.
• Physically capable of participating in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
