Legal Intern, Disability Rights Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist with conducting legal research and drafting documents.

• Perform factual investigations.

• Aid in strategic advocacy efforts that promote litigation and integrated advocacy.

• Engage in litigation, advocacy, and internal meetings and discussions.

• Provide support for the Disability Rights Program litigation efforts across key focus areas.

• Draft legal memoranda and components of court filings.

• Assist in preparations for and during depositions, oral arguments, hearings, or trials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a legal student.

• Registered at a U.S. law school.

• Must reside in the U.S. for the full duration of the internship.

• Must have completed the necessary law school qualifications prior to the start of the internship.

• Strong research abilities, including proficiency in internet and legal database research.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to take initiative and see projects through to completion.

• Internship must be connected to formal education through integrated coursework or academic credit.
