Director of Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the legal affairs at ClearCo, a private equity-backed B2B SaaS enterprise.

• Report directly to the CFO while collaborating with leaders in HR, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Procurement.

• Offer practical legal advice on commercial agreements, corporate governance, employment issues, and dispute resolution.

• Provide counsel on product-related legal matters concerning AI, privacy, and information security within the HR technology landscape.

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements.

• Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Operations to structure business deals.

• Advise on legal aspects related to AI and privacy concerns.

• Enhance contract templates and negotiation strategies.

• Assist with employment and benefits issues.

• Coordinate efforts with external legal counsel.

• Implement legal technology solutions to optimize and scale the contracting process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of six years of experience in SaaS or technology-related transactions.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the bar.

• Strong business acumen.

• Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities.

• Experience in managing a high-volume contract workload.

• Familiarity with legal technology is highly regarded.

• A demonstrated interest in creating efficient legal processes is highly valued.
